Summer internship program for youth
The ICCBS is among the top academic research establishments
Of the developing world with two constituent centers, H.E.J. research institute of chemistry and Dr. Panjwani center for molecular medicine and drug research. A who collaborating center, ICCBS has been awarded the Islamic development bank prize for the scientific research institution in the Islamic world in 2004.
H.E.J. research institute during the last three decades has achieved a number of milestones and remains at the pinnacle of excellence. Emphasis has been given on raising the standards of training of scholars economically in relevant fields of chemical and biological sciences, and resources mobilization for the future growth the new disciplines of relevant sciences.
Dr. Panjwani center for molecular medicine and drug research is engaged in training of young scholars in the emerging fields of molecular medicine and drug the research activities at PCMD are directed at understanding of diseases especially those that are prevalent in Pakistan with the aim of finding improved and novel ways of their diagnosis, and prevention.
As a public service institution which strives to promote science and technology capacity in Pakistan, the ICCBS announces the summer internship program (June-Jully 2012) for the final year B.S./M.Sc./B.E./M.E. students of public sector institutions of Pakistan in the following fields:
a) organic chemistry
b) applied chemistr
c) analytical chemistry
d) neurophysiology
e) molecular biology
f) stem cell research
g) protein chemistry
h) cell biology (microscopy)
i) biochemistry
j) structural biology
k) pharmacology
l) molecular and cellular immunology
m) computational chemistry and drug design
n) bioassay screening
o) biotechnology
p) biomedical engineering
q) electrical engineering
r) mechanical engineering
s) civil engineering
t) information technology
u) ISO management system
Applications mentioning the area of interest and curriculum vitae can be sent to the following address along with the recommendations of the head of the institutions, latest by 20th march 2012. Selected candidates will be placed in various sections of the ICCBS institutions www.iccs.edu for 6-8 weeks. No payment will be made to the selected internees.
