The Government of Pakistan has established the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) through merger of existing department. The PBS requires the services of the following professionals, with minimum age of 55 years, in Pay Scale MP-II for term appointment of five years and four years, respectively extendable for one additional term with the condition that they shall cease to hold office on attaining the age of sixty-five years or expiry of the tenure whichever is earlier.
Chief Statistician (Pay Scale MP-I)
The Chief Statistician (CS) shall be the Chief Executive Officer, and will lead and manage its team of five senior Members and the staff of the reconstituted PBS, to achieve the strategic goal of establishing and maintaining PBS as a center of statistical excellence.
The candidate will preferably:
Be a professional with demonstrated technical knowledge of statistics and management skills.
Have an advanced university degree in a relevant subject Statistics or Economics from an HEC of Pakistan recognized university, preferably from a leading international university.
Have a profound understanding of Government statistical system and various national and international social and economic issues.
Have a minimum 20 years experience with at-least five years in senior management position with in an organization of significant size / importance.
