Minimum Qualification for Associate Professor on BPS
Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized university/institution.
10-years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized university or Post-graduate institution or professional experience (with at least 4-years post-Ph.D. level experience) in the relevant field in a National or international organization.    OR
5-years Post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post-graduate institution or professional experience in the last 5-years) in the HEC recognized journals.
Minimum Qualification for Associate Professor on TTS
Ph.D. from a recognized institution in the relevant field.
6-years Post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or international research organization.     OR
4-years of Post-Ph.D. experience with at least 6 years of experience prior to Ph.D. (3 years of pre-Ph.D experience will be counted as one year of Post-Ph.D. experience. Counting all fractions), teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a Post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International research organization.
10-research publications (with at least 4-publications in the last 5-years), recognized for the purpose of appointment on TTS by HEC.
Minimum of six months continuous Post-doctoral research experience from foreign university/institute in the relevant field or successful supervision (as Supervisor) of one Ph.D. thesis or Six. M.Phil theses or three M.Phil plus six M.Sc. theses where M.Sc. theses is composure and carries a minimum of nine credit hours.
Minimum Qualification for Associate Professor of I.T and Computer Science on BPS  
Ph.D. in the relevant field from institution recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC.
7-years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution/college/University or 7-years professional experience in the relevant field (with at least 4-years post Ph.D. level experience) in a National or International organization out of which 2-years must be teaching experience. OR
5- Years Post Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized university or a Post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or International organization.
10-research publications (with at least 4 publications by the calendar years 2009-2010 respectively) in HEC/PEC recognized journals.
For the purpose of appointment on tenure track by the higher education commission, i.e. research papers published in Journals that fall under the category W, X and Y for social sciences while for science disciplines papers published in only W category (impact factor) journals.

Controller of Examinations
Ph.D preferably in Education/Administration/Management/Planning with 10-years teaching or administrative experience at a high level (equivalent to BPS-18 or above) in a University or Education Department. OR
M.Phil or equivalent preferably in Education/Administration/Management/Planning with 16-years teaching or administrative experience at a high level (equivalent to PBS-17 or above) in a University or Education Department.
Masters preferably in OR Education/Administration/Management/Planning (MBS/MPA etc.) with 18-years teaching or administrative experience at a high level (equivalent to BPS-17 or above) in a university or Education Department.

Assistant Professor
Minimum Qualification for Assistant Professor on BPS
Ph.D. in the relevant field form HEC recognized university/institution. No experience required OR
Master’s degree (foreign) or M.Phil (Pakistan) OR equivalent degrees awarded after 18-years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution. 4-years teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or International Organization.

Assistant Professor or law
Ph.D. in Law or equivalent degree form an HEC recognized university/institution. OR
LL.M. J.D. in Law or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized university/institution
4-years teaching/research experinec in a recognized university or a Post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. OR
LLB degree (1st Class) from an HEC recognized university/Institutions.
6-years teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduate instruction or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or international organization.

Deputy Sports Director
M.A/M.Sc in Physical Education with 8-years relevant experience.            OR
B.A/B.Sc in Physical Education with 16-years relevant experience
 Note: BPS applicants will only be considered if no applicant on TTS is available.

Conditions:
1.        Five Copies of the applications/dossiers dully bind (in case of Associate professor and two copies of applications/dossiers (in case of Assistant Professor, Controller of Examinations & Deputy Sports Director) on the prescribed Performa along-with attested documents (i) degrees/certificates (ii) experience certificate (iii) NIC (iv) Domicile (v) 2-recent photogrpahs, fully bound with a pay order/bank Draft or paid Challan for Rs. 2000/- for each position drawn in favour of Treasurer, Quaid-i-Azam University should reach the Assistant Registrar (Establishment), Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad by 29-02-2012.
2.        Applications for teaching posts from abroad may be sent along with US$ 100 as application fee by 30-03-2012.
3.        The candidates applying under both systems (BPS/TTS) should submit separate applications along with complete documents together with required Pay Order/Bank Draft etc. for each application.

5.        Applicants already working in Government/semi-government organizations/Autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel by due date and submit service certificate issued by their present and former employers, otherwise, their applications will no be entertained. However, the university may entertain advance copies.
6.        The selected candidates will be governed by the Quaid-i-Azam University Services Statutes and rules/regulations from time to time.
7.        Those who have previously applied for a Position should apply afresh.
8.        The University reserves the rights to increase/decrease the number of posts, not to fill any post/withhold the appointment against any advertised post or to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason.
9.        Applications that are incomplete (in any case) or received after due date shall not be entertained by any means.
10.    The candidates applying for the posts must enlist the attached documents with signature.
11.    In case of Assistant Professor only short-listed candidates will be called for aptitude test, Lecture/Seminar and interview.
12.    Decision of the University shall remain binding in all cases.
13.    The final selection of the candidates on TTS would be subject to the endorsement of appointments by HEC.
