Advisor Tax Reform Broadening Tax base - Islamabad - Federal Board of Revenue

Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarabit (GIZ) is a federally owned organization. It supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in international cooperation for sustainable development.

The program “Promotion of Governance in Pakistan” aims to lay and strengthen the foundations for just, fair and equitable governance at the national and sub-national levels in Pakistan. It is to be implemented over a period of 10 years (September 2010- December 2020) and comprises of three governance areas; Administrative Reform local service delivery – Tax Reform – Broadening tax base- and Gender Reform- Prevention of violence against women – for the Tax Reform Component of Governance program GIZ is looking for National staff in following positions

Adviser Tax Reform for broadening of Tax base (Islamabad)

The adviser will support the Federal Board of Revenue in Broadening of the Tax base.

Qualification:
    University degree from a reputable university in economics / Public administration/law
    master or Ph.D degree in a course related to the projects goals preferred

Requirements:
·        5 to 7 years of practical experience on tax administration and reform in a similar position
·        Demonstrated working experience in the field of public sector tax preferably in international organization
·        Knowledge of the tax system of Pakistan and understanding of technical advice to government institutions
·        Excellent computer skills and strong oral and written English language skills
