For Pakistan Deep Water Container Port Project
The Karachi Port Trust has embarked herself on the Development of New Deep Water Container Port to fulfill the demanding needs of Karachi Port. A Concession Agreement has been signed with the Terminal Operator M/S. Hutchision Port Holdings (HPH) who has formed an operating company by the name of M/S. South Asia Pakistan Terminal Ltd (SAPTL).
Karachi port trust intends to appoint consulting firm with relevant experience.
The scope of work of Consultants would include but not limited to vetting of designs, third party supervision, drawing, specification submitted by TOC to KPT, monitor, progress of activities and provide quality audit for construction of works and issue certificates as and when required by KPT/TOO as per concession agreement.
Blacklisted or firms/affiliated firms having conflict of interest with this assignment need not apply.
Interested consultants are requested to collect the EOI from the office of the undersigned on payment of Rs. 1,000/- only (non-refundable) in favor of Chief Accountants Officer, KPT.
Interested firms must provide the following details with evidence indicating that they are qualified to perform the assignment:
Experience of the Firm (Lead Firms of JV Firm): Experience of the firm in handling infrastructure Projects along with summary of relevant/similar assignments and experience with similar clients and authorities.
Specific Experience: Experience of following specific port assignments, Design & Development, Engineering & Construction. Supply & Procurement, Commissioning & Operation of Container Terminals on Concession/BOT.
Qualification & Organization: information on projects implemented, project costs, value of consultancy contract, number of full time employees and technical staff, and any other information highlighting the technical competence of the firms.
Structure and Organization: Constitution of company, copies of original documents defining the legal status, place of registration and principal place of business should be submitted. Registration Certificate with PEC mandatory in relevant field of Consultancy. Along with organization’s details and financial strength/status including financial statements (audited annual turnover for the last three years) and net worth of the company.
KPT reserves the right to reject any or all applications / proposals without assigning any reason (s) thereof EOI may be delivered in duplicate at the address given below latest by 13th March 2012 upto 1600 hrs.
