SENIOR GEOPHYSICIST / GEOPHYSICIST-KARACHI BASED
Interpret and map 2D/3D seismic data set regionally and within detailed field areas to refine structural models.
Integrate Well information and Seismic data info an overall assessment of gross depositional environments.
Analyze seismic for structure and reservoir property attributes analyses to develop static reservoir description for input into simulation models.
Apply appropriate merging and existing geophysical post-stack process technologies to 3D seismic data for prospect generation and reservoir characterization.
Ability to incorporate rock properties (attribute) analyses to identify and progress new wells and new play types.
Develop statement of requirement (SoR) for new wells.
Understanding of 2D/3D on shore seismic acquisition and processing work flows.
Evaluate and propose new techniques to improve seismic data and optimize prospect evaluation process.
Qualification & Experience
Masters degree in Geophysics / Geosciences from a reputable university.
At least 6 to 12 years of E&P experience.
Workstation and seismic interpretation skills. DHI / Seismic attributes analysis. Experience in complex depth conversion and depth imaging issues in both extension and compression regime.
Experience of 3D seismic acquisition and processing will be an added advantage.
Working experience of Seismic inversion, seismic net pay and AVO analysis will be preferred.
